This time of year, we would normally be preparing for our Remembrance Day Concert with the Bromley Youth Concert Band and performances at War Memorial as part of Remembrance Day Parades. It is important we all still make time to remember and support those who have contributed to our freedom and loved ones who have been lost in times of war in our own way.
Our Christmas Concert is usually another key date in our diary as it includes the un-official XBY worst Christmas hat competition (aside from great music of course!). Needless to say, we shall miss seeing how much tinsel can be wrapped around an instrument whilst still being able play. This year it’ll be a little different and we will need to find new ways to do Christmas … Watch this space!!
XBY’s committee has been working hard, checking latest regulations and government guidelines, to try to get back to rehearsals this year and remain hopeful we can organise smaller groups once we come out of the second lockdown. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to risk assessments and attended meetings to date.
The good news is that we now have all the plans and documents ready and waiting for the green light of rehearsals to be given whenever that may be!
Stay safe everyone and hopefully we shall be back performing together soon.
