Straight back from representing the UK at the World Music Championships in Holland, XBY Concert Band performed an outdoor concert at The Greyhound, Keston on Sunday 23rd August. It was a fabulous sunny afternoon and we enjoyed playing a programme of our favourite film and show music under the baton of conductor Dennis Mycroft. We included music from Evita, Chicago, Titanic and Uptown Funk.
The sun came out and there was a large and supportive audience to enjoy both the music and the refreshments available from this amazing local pub. This was our third performance at the venue and we are thrilled to announce that we have been invited back to give a concert of carols and festive music during the afternoon on Sunday 20th Dec.
This was our last concert of the season and following a short summer break we will start a new term in September focussing on our upcoming performance in the National Concert band Regional Heats in November.
