Road to WMC

XBY are delighted to once again be representing the UK in the First Division of the World Music Championships (WMC) in Kerkrade, Holland.

We are performing at 20:30 on Friday 24th July 2026 in the Roda Hall, Kerkrade, Holland.

This year for the 75th anniversary of WMC we are performing under the Baton of John Hargreaves. With two conductors keeping an eye on us in rehearsals we are all putting lots of extra work in to perform at our best!

Our programme is formed of Horkstow Grange from Lincolnshire Posy by Percy Grainger, Trencadis by Bert Appermont which is the test piece, Metropolis 1927 by Peter Graham.
