NCBF London Regionals 2025

XBY have achieved a Platinum award at the Regionals for the Nationals Concert Band Festival which took place on Sunday 17th November 2025. We took part in the London Regionals at Trinity school and it was great to support other bands especially Kew Wind Band.

We performed Prelude from 49th Parallel by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Lincolnshire Posy by Percy Grainger under the baton of John Hargreaves. 

The feedback was overwhelming positive with a platinum award across all of the categories and criteria. 

Several sections were called out for particular stylish performances and special mention to all of our soloists for a brilliant performances and balance and intonation throughout the band. 

This is a great preparation and confidence booster for our participation at Kerkrade in the World Music Championships which take place in July 2026.
